This crossover gown was made of dupioni silk and features the pleated front and darted sleeve. This gown also works for day wear when it is made up in cotton or linen and can also be cut to hip-length to make a half-robe to wear over another gown!
This is the drawstring dress with short puffed sleeves. The dress has drawstrings at the neckline and waistline and is slipped on over the head. The waistline drawstring casing comes straight out of Janet Arnold’s research and includes self-fabric loops to hold the self-fabric drawstring up at the back of the dress between the side back seams.
Here is another version of the drawstring dress with a straight skirt front. This was accomplished by using the skirt front piece from my Regency Gown Pattern (at top of page). You can easily mix and match pieces from these patterns to create even more gown options!
