Sources for Titanic Gowns and Accessories
Updated January 3, 2006

Chester Jefferies is the company which made all of the leather gloves for "Titanic," including the velvet-lined kid gloves Rose wore with the boarding suit! They are happy to custom-make a pair exactly like Rose's for you if you like.

So many ladies ask me where they can have "Titanic" re-creations made, and I am able to recommend some good sources. Kay at Lavender's Green and Tracie Arnold of Moviegowns.com are excellent seamstresses who are offering many of the film's outfits. Click on the links below for further information. Information on other "Titanic" accessories is also below.

"Titanic" and "Ever After" Costumes from Tracie Arnold

I have found a fantastic source for a "Titanic" accessory made to match any of Rose's outfits: an authentic clutch purse! These "Titanic" purses are beautifully done with gorgeous trimming, beading, etc. Do not miss Sara's site! Click on the button below to visit.

March 8, 1998: Here is a fantastically faithful recreation of the crocheted purse Rose carried when she wore the "flying" dress. Patterns for these are available from Patricia Hayes. Visit her homepage by clicking on the image below.

March 30, 1999: Faviana formals is now offering a ready-made version of the "jump" dress. Click on the photo below to go to the information on their website.

June 5, 1999:Linda Lorraine Gloves is offering reproductions of the gloves that go with the "boarding" suit. Visit the site and ask about the gloves, since there are no photos up at present.

July 20, 1999:Galoob Toys is offering this "Rose" doll, wearing a very detailed and authentic "jump" dress. I do not know how limited quantities are, so be sure to check your local specialty doll or toy store! You can also order her from etoys.com at a substantial discount (thanks to Diane for this info!).

November 19, 1999: Peter Fox Shoes is offering the boots that go with the "jump" dress! This is the company that made Kate Winslet's boots for the film, so they are exactly the same. Hurry, though, because Peter Fox is closing out these boots, and they are reduced from $475 to $195!
Here is a review from a satisfied Peter Fox customer:

My "jump shoes" arrived from Peter Fox and they are truly breathtaking! The red silk almost glows. The embroidery on the boots is exquisite. The design is even repeated on the back of each heel! The lining is gold colored, so the boots look nice being displayed, as well as being worn. When I tried them on, it looked like there was some cutwork around the lacing (they are laced with black ribbon) as well. My feet are slightly smaller than a size 7, and my size 7 boots are an exact fit- a smidgen smaller and they would be uncomfortable. I'd advise anyone who is between sizes to choose the larger size. The shoes look gorgeous when worn, and are very flattering. They make you feel very dainty, because of the princess heel and pointed toe. You simply cannot stomp around in these shoes!
I talked over e-mail with Jeremy at Peter Fox and he told me that I had purchased the last pair of red silk size 7s they had. If there are more gals out there who want their own pair of jump shoes, they need to act quickly. I don't think these glorious boots will be available much longer!

December 17, 1999: Stop the presses! The Franklin Mint is now offering two unbelievably authentic and breathtakingly gorgeous portrait dolls from "Titanic." Click on the picture links below for more information on these fabulous finds. The costumes alone are worth the price of the doll!

January 11, 2000: Check out Sandi's doll-sized "Titanic" costume re-creations! I can't download her photos to share here, but see her beautiful photo gallery!
March 27, 2000: Here is a beautiful version of the white "dinner" dress available ready-made from Mary's Bridal. The diagonal layers go all the way around the skirt rather than ending at the right side seam. Dreamy take on the gown Rose wears at the end of the film! (Click on the thumbnail for a larger image.)

November 21, 2000: Eden for Gene is creating stunning Gene doll-sized "Titanic" reproductions. Be sure to visit their beautiful website by clicking on the text link or picture below!

Also see these spectacular Barbie-sized gowns made by Emma Callacher of England! The detailing is incredible. If you are interested in purchasing an outfit, you can contact Emma at EMMA_M_C@hotmail.com. Emma also hopes to have a website up and running soon!

December 9, 2000: WOW! Chrissy Stewart of JaC Designs made this stunning reproduction of Rose's tea dress for Robert Tonner's "Tyler" doll. Here are Chrissy's comments: "I have admired your site for the past two+ years and have gotten so many helpful solutions to my dressmaking because of this wonderful site. I just wanted to share a dress I finally made--a Tyler Wentworth doll is a 16" doll put out by Robert Tonner. My sister and I customize Gene Dolls (Mel Odem, availible through Ashton Drake) and Tyler dolls. We do all sorts of costuming. My sister Jen repaints the face and does the hair (perming and styling), and I make the costumes and jewelry. Most are not done to history but are historically inspired and imaginative. We will be making the dinner dress Rose's mother wore in the movie and also Mrs. Astor's dress for these dolls." Fantastic! If you'd like to contact Chrissy, you can reach her at LUCKYLUCIANO1@email.msn.com.
