Paper on the Estate of Benjamin Ethell

County of Boone

James Ethel, who applies for letter of administration on the estate of Benjamin Ethell late of said county and makes oath that the following is a correct list and statement of the heirs and legal representatives of the said deceased to the best of his knowledge and beliefs and their places of residences thereof.

Winifred Ethel the widow of the said deceased of the county and state aforesaid John Ethel of said county and state

Susanna Wilson, intermarried with David Wilson of said County and state

Lucy Redman, intermarried with George W. Redman of Shelby county in the state of Kentucky

Willis A Ethel of the county and state last aforsaid

Alma Devinney(?) intermarried with John A(?) Devinney(?) of the town of Cincinatta in the state of Ohio, and

this affiant James Ethel in the County of Morgan in the State of Illinois.

Given under my hand the 20th day of Oct 1828

Document package from the Missouri Archives includes inventory of the estate, value of items of the estate, results of auction of estate, attempts to collect debts owed to the estate - especially by George Redman ($70.00 but documentation insufficient so not allowed), and final settlement of estate occured in court November 1833.
